____________________________ Energy in Balance
To be a Reiki Master Practitioner, one must progress through three degrees of Reiki Certification with study and practice between each attunement. I began with my first level Reiki attunement in 1987, not long after the practice migrated to the Continental US from Japan via Hawaii. Now, a Certified Reiki Master Practitioner of the Usui Shiki Ryoho System of Natural Healing, I have come to believe that instruction and attunement connects one to the energy, but once connected, the energy does the instruction, one treatment at a time. What we learn is how to follow the guidance of the energy.
More recently, I studied with Claire Marie Miller at the Pittsburgh School of Message Therapy to receive certification in Integrative Reflexology and find it to be a wonderful complement to Reiki energy. I learned RELAXology from its creator and my mentor, Joyce Dupak, an exceptionally talented local reflexologist.
Other teachings that enhance my practice include The Course in Miracles, the works of ancient masters as well as contemporary teachers such as Thich Nhat Hanh, Paramahansa Yogananda, Eckhart Tolle and Matt Kahn.
I am a member of The International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) Reiki Membership Association www.reiki.org, the Association for Research and Enlightenment www.edgarcayce.org, and the Unity Center of Pittsburgh www.unitycenter.com.
I continue to explore healing practices that employ life force energy because I believe that energy work is the new frontier in modern health sciences. It brings me great joy to practice what I have learned and to expand my knowledge continuously.
